Showers are often not the first thought when designing a bathroom but they shouldn’t be forgotten as most of the time they take up the most amount of space in a bathroom. If you plan your bathroom design around a shower you can then choose the size and style of shower you actually want and then design the rest of your bathroom around the space you have left.

Showers don’t always need to be just a shower. You can make them a real feature within your bathroom by selecting a striking shower screen frame such as black, highlighting the wall or floor tiles in a feature tile compared to the rest of the bathroom, adding a fixed seat to the shower or having a window within a shower to bring in some greenery from outside within. Choice of tapware and shower heads can too make a huge impact so don’t forget about the finer details. And if you are concerned about your bathroom feeling too cold and stark, think about adding timber to your bathroom and or shower in timber look tiles, timber shelves or a timber vanity to add some warmth to the space.
