Cabot’s Aquadeck lasts twice as long as other oil-based decking oils, protecting your timber while enhancing your timber’s natural look.

You can use Aquadeck over any existing coating if the existing coating is at least 30 days old and in good condition.  If the existing coating has peeled, flaked or deteriorated unevenly, we recommend that you completely remove the existing coating with a coatings stripper or by sanding back to bare timber to achieve the best result.

With Aquadeck, no sanding is required if the existing coating is in good condition and not darker than your chosen Aquadeck colour.  If the existing coating has peeled, flaked, deteriorated unevenly or is a darker colour than the Aquadeck colour chosen, we recommend that you completely remove the existing coating with a coatings stripper or by sanding back to bare timber, and then clean with Cabot’s Deck Clean to achieve the best result.

Application
1. Stir thoroughly with a broad flat paddle before and during use. Pour Aquadeck into Cabot’s Deck Hand Bucket.
2. Apply using Cabot’s Deck Coat applicator along the length of the board, to seal exposed edges and for the end grain use a brush. Use a brush to cut in around the edges where required. the initial milky colour helps with even product application, drying to a semi-transparent finish.
3. Apply 2 coats allowing 1 hour between coats. Three coats will be required in extreme conditions such as full sun exposure and around pools.
