Sikkens Cetol BLX-Pro is a premium water based decking and timber stain, suitable for both interior and exterior application.

It is a stand alone 3 coat system, which is micro-porous, allowing timber to breathe whilst repelling unwanted moisture.

Application Description

Ready to use with no need to thin. Stir thoroughly before use. Final colour will depend upon timber type, previous treatment and the number of coats applied. Ensure timber moisture content is below 15%. Do not apply in temperatures below 5℃ and above 35°C, in damp conditions (when relative humidity is above 85%), or if rain or dew is likely before the product has dried. If using more than one can, it is advisable to mix them together in a larger container or finish in a corner before starting the new can to ensure colour consistency. On previously stained timber, touch up bare areas first and allow to dry. Avoid heavy wear and tear on the decking for a few days after application. At temperatures below 10°C and when used internally with limited air circulation, the drying process will be delayed. On correctly prepared surfaces, three coats evenly with a good quality brush along the grain, avoiding overlaps. Allow 2 hours between coats.
