Dark Walls

Want to create some real drama in your interior space?  Then make your walls dark!  Gone are the days of keeping all walls light and white and now the trend is going bold and brave.  To make this look really work think dark, rich tones like charcoals and blacks to neutralise things or deep blues, reds, greens and purples to add colour.  And dark walls aren't only for paint - think about adding dark tiled walls in your bathroom or dark cabinetry in your kitchen.  Check out some of these ideas in how you can add dark walls to your space.

Tip: To make your space really stand out, don't just think about one dark feature wall but look at doing all or most walls in the darker colour.  This will really change the feel of the space and make it its own.  If you are afraid you will enclose the space too much, then add light coloured woodwork, flooring, or pieces of furniture or accessories to lighten the mood and feel.
